What every family should read this week — and what we skip
A visa rule, a work-after-study clock, a housing market, a safety warning, a deal that changes seats. Everything else is a press release we skip.

The important news is the handful of facts that should reach every Maharashtra family this week, whether they are looking at Boston or Brno.
We read government pages and university news overnight. Most of what comes in is a lab prize, a convocation date, or a branding film. That is not useful. We keep only what changes a visa, work after study, a job market, a safety picture, or the cost for Indian students.
This week’s important news: the UK Graduate visa calendar for 2026 starters, Canada’s public-master’s PAL exemption, MEA caution on the United States, housing in Dublin, Amsterdam and Toronto, and the safety watch that still says housing discrimination more often than street violence.
University headlines still appear — Imperial, TUM, NUS, Toronto, Melbourne — because job surveys and intake rules change student choices. They sit under Headlines, not as the top story, unless they change a country-level fact.
