Among Nordic options, Finland currently offers degree graduates up to two years to look for work — more generous than Sweden’s twelve months. Aalto’s engineering and design scholarships can flip the cost math. English is widely spoken in Helsinki tech. Finnish still matters outside it.
What students actually say is consistent and slightly comic: the lunch is cheap, the sun is a rumour, the society is high-trust, and nobody will invite you out unless you join a student guild in week one. For the right temperament this is a feature, not a bug.
